Luis Calero is an experienced Agile Digital Producer skilled in crafting engaging digital content for multicultural audiences. He creates user experiences, proficiently interprets complex data, and transforms it into easy-to-understand and enjoyable bilingual content. Luis is dedicated to empowering users by creating digital experiences and bilingual content that are easy to understand and interact with.

Originally from Nicaragua, Luis Calero, a.k.a DJ Nica, is passionate about helping our community through education and empowerment opportunities. With human-centered design principles and a comprehensive technical understanding focusing on accessibility and inclusivity, Luis Calero creates experiences and designs that enhance interactions amongst people and technology. He explores how storytelling and multicultural UX design can improve and nurture relationships between companies and society.

Luis believes in and practices the power of storytelling. Luis has been recognized nationally and internationally for his work. He was featured on NBC for work he did for the USO (United Services Organizations) in an educational campaign for returning veterans from the war to the U.S. (Click here to see video) Luis Calero has helped create and implement successful design systems across a complex array of products and services during his time at Vyond (formerly known as GoAnimate), Farmers Insurance, U.S. Bank, Facebook, Meta, and WM (Waste Management) among others Corporations and Start-Ups. 

Luis Calero serves the San Francisco Bay Area Community as the Vice President of Marketing on the Board of Directors at Prospanica Silicon Valley. Luis is passionate about offering support and creating educational and empowerment opportunities for Prospanica members and the community.
